GL-Class diagnostics can include AIRMATIC warnings, 4MATIC and ABS/ESP faults, engine or diesel emissions warnings, transmission messages, battery drain and comfort electrical concerns. Good diagnosis avoids replacing expensive suspension or electronic components without confirmation.

Diagnosis can involve a vehicle scan, fault freeze-frame information, live values, wiring diagrams, power and earth checks, actuator tests, pressure measurements, smoke testing, mechanical inspection or road testing. The combination depends on the symptom. The objective is to find evidence of the cause before a repair is authorised.

Common repair categories include air-suspension struts or compressors where proven faulty, control arms, engine mounts, brakes, cooling-system leaks, oil leaks, wheel bearings, air conditioning and electrical repairs.

The GL-Class should feel stable, quiet and predictable.
